Julian was born in England but spent his early years abroad as his father was an art teacher working for the British Government. He returned to England and completed a degree in product design and started initially in the BBC Visual Effects Department. His first TV show was the Young Ones, followed by three years of mixed LE and drama shows.
He left the BBC to work in Australia, where he became a designer working for Network 7, as well as stints in the art department of various features and commercials. He returned to England after a couple of years, and started as a full time Art director and Production Designer. Julian Fullalove Associates Limited was formed in 1995, in order to broaden the services that could be offered to production companies and clients.
Julian has continued to work in all areas of production. Although his main work is in film and dramas, he still designs commercials, pop promos, events and light entertainment sets. Recently he became involved in helping out some more worthy causes like designing the village sets for an aids awareness drama in Nigeria (BBC World Service Trust) and working with new directors and writers on Coming up for channel 4. He contributes to various trade journals in the UK and USA and has appeared in several promotional films about the British Film Industry.
